Back in November 2011 we reported that Rachel Zucker has made the brilliant decision to extend her role as Wicked’s green heroine, Elphaba through 2012. We may have said goodbye to several cast members in 2011, including Louise Dearman (Glinda), Mark Evans (Fiyero), Julian Forsyth (Dr Dillamond), Ben Stott (Boq), Zoe Rainey (Nessarose) and Clive Carter(The Wizard of Oz). But the Land of Oz won’t be without it’s people for long!
New for 2012 we say hello to Gina Beck (Glinda), Matt Willis (Fiyero), Desmond Barrit (The Wizard), Lillie Flynn (Nessarose), Adam Pettigrew (Boq) and Christopher Howel (Dr Dillamond). Betweeen them, the new cast share a phenomenal scope of accolades, including being a member of the pop-rock group, Busted (Matt Willis), expertly filling the role of Cosette in Les Miserables (Gina Beck), and being gruesomely dispatched from this mortal coil in Midsomer Murders (Desmond Barrit).
